Deacons have new assignments

Two deacons in the diocese have new assignments that will begin September 1.. The Rev. Tracie Middleton will begin serving at Trinity, Fort Worth, with a  focus on mission and outreach work. Middleton came to the diocese in 2011. She is currently serving at St. Stephen’s, Hurst. She will continue as communications and ministry support officer for the diocese, a position she’s held since 2014. She recently become co-chair of a newly formed Young Deacon Task Force within the Association of Episcopal Deacons.…

Nominations committee invites nominees for 28 open positions

Updated 7/20/2016 Nominations are now open for 28 (previously reported as 27) positions that will be filled at the 2016 Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas, on November 11 and 12. TEC Executive Council approves generous grant

The Executive Council of The Episcopal Church passed a resolution on Friday, June 10, 2016, supporting the work of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth and responding to the diocese’s request, at the Executive Council’s February 26-28 meeting in Fort Worth, for $600,000 in grant funding. The resolution approved $217,500 from the general budget, something that happens only rarely.
