The Episcopal Church of North Texas Votes Unanimously to Reunite with The Episcopal Diocese of Texas
JUNE 18, 2022: The Episcopal Church in North Texas, (ECNTX) formerly the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, today voted overwhelmingly to reunite with the Episcopal Diocese of Texas (EDOT). The vote was the sole business of a Special Meeting of Diocesan Convention at Trinity Episcopal Church, Fort Worth. The vote for reuniting was 69 to 0. The vestry of St. Christopher Fort Worth has announced that they have called the Rev. Paula K. Jefferson to be their Priest-in-Charge, She will begin August 1, 2022. St. Christopher is worshiping at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 5709 Wedgwood, Fort Worth, TX 76133, since they lost their building in 2021. Alan Bentrup installed as rector at St. Martin’s, Keller
The Rev. Alan Bentrup was installed as rector of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Keller, on Thursday, May 5, 2022, by Bishop Scott Mayer. Bentrup was elected rector in June 2021. His first Sunday was August 1, 2021. As it has done at other congregations, the Covid19 pandemic delayed the Celebration of a New Ministry service at St. Martin’s for some months.
