ECNTX Altar Guild members invited to EDOT retreat

The Rt. Rev. Jeff Fisher, bishop suffragan of the Diocese of Texas, along with Kate Canby,  director of the diocesan Altar Guild, have extended a warm invitation to the churches in the Episcopal Church in North Texas to join in the EDOT Altar Guild Retreat at Camp Allen June 2-4.

The Reunion 2022.org website said, “This year’s retreat topics will cover linen care, the handling of silver, brass and oil base candles, flower arrangement and spiritual practices for the Altar Guild. There will be sessions on networking, communications, and online resources, including BCP Online. There will also be afternoon workshops for spiritual opportunities, needle work, beading, creating a liturgical linen to use in your home parish, or just enjoy the sports available at Camp Allen.”

The needle workshops require additional fees to reimburse the workshop leaders. The cost for each workshop kit is:

  • Needlepointing an Ecclesiastical Egg $30
  • Beading a Liturgical Banner $25
  • Making an Anglican Rosary $25
  • Making a Liturgical Cloth $20

There is much more information and a registration form here.

The total lodging cost for the retreat remains the same as last year at $220 for a single room and $160 per person for a double room.
