The Rt. Rev. Rayford B.HIgh, Jr., visited St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Hurst, on Sunday, April 12, 2015.
Dennis Strach, Kathleen Strach and Barbara Rough reaffirmed their baptismal vows.
After the Eucharist, the worship space was transformed into a parish hall.
The congregation honored the Rev. Slaven Manning and his wife Linda with a barbecue lunch and reception. Bishop High presented Manning with a plaque from the parish expressing their thanks for the Manning’s ministry among them. The recently retired priest-in-charge, the Rev. Vernon Gotcher, and his wife Deanna also were present.
