Connie Kline, last charter member of St. Luke’s, Fort Worth, dies

Connie Kline died on February 29, 2016. She was buried on March 12, 2016, at St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth, on what would have been her 100th birthday. Kline was the last remaining charter member of St. Luke’s. Former rectors of St. Luke’s, the Rev. Gayland Pool and the Rev. Jim Horton, joined the current rector, the Rev. Bishop Scott Mayer and the clergy of the diocese gathered Tuesday at a worship service at St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth to reaffirm vows they made at their ordinations. The bishop blessed oils (called chrism) for anointing at baptism and for healing. During the service, he anointed the hands of the clergy. Episcopal Relief & Development exceeds 75th Anniversary Goal

Thanks to the generous support and coordinated efforts of thousands of Episcopalians and friends, Episcopal Relief & Development’s 75th Anniversary Celebration exceeded its goals for fundraising and engagement throughout the Church and beyond. Fort Worth will host the Province VII Daughters of the King (DOK) for its annual Assembly this year on April 22-24.
