Quilt to be raffled at diocesan convention
HO HA HE, LE MITA COLA (Welcome, my friends) This beautiful quilt from the Diocese of South Dakota is going to be raffled at the 30th Diocesean Convention to be held in Stephenville, Tx., Nov 2 and 3. The money raised will be used for the Native American Youth Ministry in South Dakota on the reservations. In the last 2 years Father Rob Swarz has worked tirelessly on the Standing Rock Reservation that is situated in both South and North Dakota.…
Diocesan Convention updates and reminders
Excitement is building as diocesan convention approaches. A new provisional bishop will be elected and seated, farewells will be said to Bishop Wallis Ohl, a deacon will be ordained, the reorganization of the diocese will continue with canonical changes, a gorgeous quilt will be raffled off, and laypeople and clergy will be elected to various governing bodies of the diocese.
