Henry Penner was ordained to the vocational diaconate during the opening Eucharist at the 30th Diocesan Convention Friday, November 2, in the Thompson Student Center at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. Cindy Ruiz will be ordained to the transitional diaconate at 7 p.m. October 23 at St. Elisabeth’s Episcopal Church, 5910 Black Oak Lane, Fort Worth, Texas 76114. She graduated from University of Rhode Island with BA in History and German and BS in Secondary Education. She got a teaching certificate in history, social studies, and German.
