St. Martin’s, DOK hosting Quiet Day

St. Martin-in-the-Fields and its Daughters of the King chapter are pleased to invite women and female-identifying folk of the Diocese to a Lenten Quiet Day, led by Katie Sherrod. The event will be on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in St. Martin’s large parish hall at 223 S. Pearson Lane, Keller 76248.

Women of the Passion is a Lenten Quiet Day led by Katie Sherrod. We will create a community to experience the Passion through the eyes of some of the women who encountered Jesus.

Attendees should bring an object that represents a woman whose life has touched them in some important way. The woman might be a relative, a famous person, a saint, a writer, a friend. The memento might be a photo, a drawing, a letter, a scarf – anything that evokes the woman.

The day opens at 9:30 am in the large parish hall with coffee and greetings and continues with introductions and sharing about women who have formed us. We will reflect on the gifts we have received from them and how we can use these in our lives.

A simple lunch of soup and bread will be served, eaten in quiet reflection.

After lunch, we regather for meditations and Stations of the Cross. We will close with Holy Eucharist.

There is no charge for the event, but registration is required using the link below by Monday, March 14 to ensure that enough food is provided for lunch.
