Elections
The revised canons passed at the 2015 Convention changed what offices are elected at the deanery level. This year, members of the congregations in the deanery will elect the following positions during the Pre-Convention meeting:
- One representative (lay or clergy) to the diocesan Executive Council
- One alternate for Executive Council representative
- Dean
- Sub-Dean
- Secretary
Each of these positions is a one-year term.
The deanery no longer elects a representative to the Nominations Committee; the members of that committee are now appointed by the bishop and Standing Committee.
Other members of the Executive Council will be elected at large at Diocesan Convention. Nominees are listed here.
Convention Materials
The meeting will also cover materials to be discussed or voted on at Convention. All Convention-related materials are posted on the Convention page and available to view, download, or print as soon as they become available. You can also try out the online voting platform we’ll be using for elections this year at convention. Feel free to contact the Diocesan Office at 817-534-1900 if you have questions or need help accessing any of the materials.
