2021 Mission and Outreach Grants awarded

The Mission and Outreach Committee of the Episcopal Church in North Texas has awarded $28,500 in grants for Mission Within the Diocese and $7,893.50 in grants for Mission Beyond the Diocese. Lay leader Ian Moore died

Ian Moore, verger at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Granbury and a lay leader in The Episcopal Church in North Texas diocese, died April 30, 2021. Moore was born on September 4, 1943 in Canada, and baptized at St. Cyprian, Church of England in Montreal, Canada. Ruth Woodliff-Stanley elected bishop of South Carolina

The Rev. Canon Ruth Woodliff-Stanley was elected the 15th bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina on the second ballot on Saturday, May 1, 2021, in an election held at a Special Meeting of Convention. Assuming the required consents are given, she will be consecrated October 2, 2021. The Rev. Kevin Johnson, rector of St. Alban’s Theatre Arlington, also was on the five-person slate. Good Shepherd Granbury marks 50th Anniversary

The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Granbury marked the beginning of their 50th year on the Fourth Sunday in Easter, which is also known as Good Shepherd Sunday. The Rev.
