The Rev. Kevin Johnson, rector of St. Alban’s, Theatre Arlington, is on the slate of candidates for the 15th bishop of South Carolina. The slate was announced Saturday, January 29. The Rev. Vernon Alfred Gotcher, Ph.D, died December 6, 2020. He was born July 21, 1932. Invitation to racial justice and reparations work

At the 2019 Diocesan Convention, Bishop Eugene Sutton of Maryland spoke powerfully about racial justice and reparations. The convention responded with a resolution that called for the establishment of a Commission on Racial Justice and Reparations. The pandemic intervened, but the work did not stop.
