Lay leader Judy Graber died March 22, 2022

Diocesan leader Judy Graber died March 22, 2022, in Denton. The funeral is at 2 pm Saturday, March  26, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3401 Bellaire Drive So., Ft. Worth, TX 76109, where she was a long time member, as was her late sister Maggie Withroder.

She served as chair of the Diocesan Finance Committee, and was a member of the Executive Council, and the Management Committee of the diocese. She also served as a delegate from Trinity to the diocesan convention.

Judith W. Graber died March 22, 2022, in Denton, Texas.

Judy was born in Hutchinson, Kansas and grew up in Haven where she attended high school.  She graduated from University of Kansas with Bachelor of Science in Education.

She was an active member of the Episcopal Church, holding multiple positions in various churches to include Senior Warden. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and was instrumental in raising funds for the Episcopal Church through capital campaigns.

Her hobbies and interests included watching KU basketball, traveling, reading, and spending time with her dogs until she passed away at the age of 78.

Mrs. Graber is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Higgins, her son, Jay Whisker, and her niece, Stephanie Espinosa and their spouses, Dennis Higgins, Sue Ann Whisker, and Aubrey Espinosa.  She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother John Withroder, her sister, Maggie Withroder, and her beloved husband, Tom Graber.
