———————————

The Rt. Rev. Scott Mayer, provisional bishop of Fort Worth; the Standing Committee, and the Board of Trustees of the Corporation of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth are saddened by the May 22, 2020, decision of the Texas Supreme Court that failed to uphold the opinion of the Fort Worth Court of Appeals that the loyal Episcopalians are entitled to control both the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth and its Corporation

Read the decision.

Bishop Mayer has issued a letter to the diocese.

Read the letter.

When we have more thoroughly reviewed the decision, the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth may issue further statements. In the meantime we hold all Episcopalians in our prayers as well as former Bishop Iker and his colleagues, and we bid your prayers as we move forward.
