Churches begin Recasting process

Three Diocese of Fort Worth congregations – St. Alban Arlington, St. Elisabeth Fort Worth, and St. Luke’s in the Meadow Fort Worth – have completed the application process to participate in Recasting Church Assets, a process of self-study facilitated by the Episcopal Church Building Fund (ECBF). Congregations participating in the program will begin meeting together late in the summer.

Executive council meeting rescheduled

The September meeting of the diocesan executive council has been rescheduled. Because the House of Bishops will be meeting Sept. 19-23 in Nashville, the meeting has been moved to Sept. 28, at All Saints Fort Worth. Please mark your calendar.

ECW calls for CASA ingathering

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) around the diocese have selected the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program as their principal charity. The group is asking congregations throughout the diocese to collect funds in both the spring and the fall, for disbursement to CASA offices throughout the diocese.

The Rev. Doyle Dietz Allen Called to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Tucson

The Rev. Doyle Dietz Allen has been called to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Tucson, Arizona. She will be assistant to the rector, the Rev. Bruce White. Her ministry officially begins on May 15, but she and her husband Tom Allen will be leaving on May 9 to drive to Tucson and begin settling in.
