As part of our welcome for our new provisional bishop, the Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr., we’ve created a Facebook page for him. Using Facebook, the people in our diocese can learn more about him, and people in the Diocese of Texas (who he served as bishop suffragan), and around the world can continue to experience the richness of his ministry.
Bishop High’s Facebook page will be administered by the communications office of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, not by Bishop High himself. On his page, our diocese will let Facebook fans know about parish visits and other high points in his ministry in our diocese. For instance, we’ll publish the video of his installation, his pastoral letter, the video of his sermon at St. Elisabeth’s Fort Worth on November 4, photos from the Mexican Supper he enjoyed at St. Luke’s Stephenville on November 6, and anything he wants to directly announce.
Please consider “Liking” Bishop High’s page. If you haven’t “Liked” the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth Facebook page, go ahead and “Like” it as well. If you’re not on Facebook, go over to Bishop High’s Facebook page and our diocesan Facebook page – they are public websites open to be viewed by anyone on the web. We offer a rich news environment for our diocese. We often publish news through our social media channels of Facebook and Twitter before we can publish it to our website (soon we will be launching a redesigned website); plus, we publish scripture, episcopal commentary, and inspirational photos. Come be “social” with us!
