Join the Lights for Liberty vigil Friday night July 12 in Arlington
The congregation of St. Alban’s Theatre Arlington is inviting everyone to join them for a silent vigil in support of the many people, especially children, who are legally trying to enter this country but who are being kept in confinement in detention centers. St. Alban’s Theatre Arlington to celebrate 70th anniversary
St. Alban’s, worshiping in Theater Arlington, will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the parish at a service at 9:30 am Sunday, November 12. Bishop Scott Mayer will be there to confirm, reaffirm, and receive fourteen people. The Rev. Courtland Moore, former longtime rector of the parish, will preach. A reception will follow the service. St. Alban’s Theatre Arlington has joined with four other area congregations to form a coalition of Inclusive Faith groups. The congregations are Embrace United Church of Christ, Richland Hills; Galileo Christian Church, Mansfield/Kennedale; Welcome Table Christian Church, Arlington; and Westminster Presbyterian Church, Arlington. The Inclusive Faith Coalition (IFC) is open to churches, synagogues, and mosques in the greater Arlington area that value and practice full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people.
