Background Check Request Form
Use this form to request a background check on a volunteer or employee of your congregation, group, or ministry. Background checks are required for all employees and volunteers within the Diocese who work with children, youth, or vulnerable populations; additionally, vestry member, lay leaders, and others who have unsupervised access to funds, facilities, or financial records are required to have a background check.
Mollee Westfall elected to Standing Committee
Mollee Westfall, a member of All Saints’, Fort Worth, has been elected to the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth. She was elected to replace Jeff Boleware of St.Stephen’s, Hurst, who resigned at the May 5 meeting. Boleware is starting a new job in Austin. He was elected at the 2013 Diocesan Convention in Wichita Falls.

The Episcopal Church Foundation’s Vital Practices (ECFVP) website offers resources, inspiration, and instructional webinars to guide leaders in discernment, specific roles (senior warden, stewardship chair, etc.), and best practices (more efficient meetings, managing debt, etc.). You can receive a monthly newsletter via email, follow ECFVP on Facebook, or register to join with other leaders across the nation in a wide variety of online learning opportunities with experts and peers.
ECF webinars support congregational leaders
Looking for ways to grow your congregation and increase your skills for leadership? Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF) offers free and low-cost webinars that offer an opportunity to learn from other leaders in the church. In April and May, you can register for outstanding sessions that focus on stewardship, vestries, and inviting new people into leadership. To participate, all you need is a computer and internet access, and about an hour of your time. Better yet, invite your vestry or ministry colleagues to join you to share the learning experience.

ECF Web Conferences Winter 2012
As part of ECF’s on-going efforts to assist congregations in developing their leadership and financial resources, we are offering a wide range of web conferences for clergy and lay parish leaders this winter. There is no cost to participate in most of the web conferences and all lay and clergy leaders are welcome to participate.
