ECW calls for CASA ingathering
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) around the diocese have selected the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program as their principal charity. The group is asking congregations throughout the diocese to collect funds in both the spring and the fall, for disbursement to CASA offices throughout the diocese.
ECW supports CASA, asks for your help
Last fall the Board of Episcopal Church Women selected the Court Appointed Special Advocates program (CASA) as the main charity for our organization. CASA volunteers investigate a child’s situation in foster care, monitor their home and school life while in the child welfare system, and, ultimately, recommend to the courts which placement is best for a child to call a “forever home.” They serve as advocates, friends, and protectors.
Episcopal Church Women chose to support Court Appointed Special Advocates(CASA)
Court Appointed Special Advocates (C.A.S.A.) has been chosen as the mission focus of the Diocesan ECW. C.A.S.A. needs help in supporting their care of abused and neglected children in the counties located in our diocese. ECW will be collecting clothing and other personal care items as well as cash donations periodically during this next year.
