The Rt. Rev. J. Scott Mayer, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwest Texas, was elected provisional bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth at a special meeting of Convention on May 16 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Fort Worth.
