Diocesan Convention is November 8 and 9 at the Decatur Civic Center. If you haven’t registered yet, whether as a delegate, guest, or vendor, please do so. Registration is $65 for one day, $90 for two days. Registration includes afternoon snacks and dinner with wine on Friday; continential breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack on Saturday. Executive council implementing Canon 10
The changes made “on paper” with the passage of a revised Canon 10 during the November 2012 diocesan convention are becoming a reality, as the diocese’s executive council (EC) works to pioneer new ways of working together. Nominations period for diocesan positions is underway, continues until September 30, 2012
Nominations for diocesan positions, to be considered at the November 2012 Diocesan Convention, may be submitted through September 30. Anyone may nominate any qualified person for an appropriate position. Additionally, Bp. Ohl has requested that the bishop’s appointments and nominations be included in this process in order to assist in the bishop’s duties. New Nomination Process for 2012 Diocesan Convention Elections
Some of the Nominations Committee members are scheduled to visit each Deanery three times this year (April, August, & October) to disseminate information about the 2012 new nomination process and the positions to be elected/appointed.
