Are you ready to think about your congregation’s 2013 budget? How about your 2013 annual giving campaign, the one that you’ll be doing in the fall of 2012?
Now is the time to begin that planning. And what better resource than a workshop led by the Episcopal Church’s stewardship officer, Laurel Johnston, to help get us all started on the right track! (Visit her website.)
Sign up today (registration closed) for the Feb. 17-18 stewardship workshop, “Stewards by Design,” to be held at Trinity Church, Fort Worth. This workshop is designed for clergy and lay leaders who want to develop high-commitment congregations by making stewardship central to discipleship. Learn the basics of stewardship and best practices in creating a culture of gratitude and generosity in the congregation. The workshop will cover (a) the biblical understanding of stewardship; (b) creating a culture of gratitude and generosity; and (c) strategic planning for effective annual giving campaigns. View complete agenda attached below.
Join Laurel on Friday, Feb. 17, 6:30 – 8:30pm for wine and cheese and foundational work to shape your congregation’s understanding of stewardship. She’ll also spend time addressing questions about effective stewardship practices.
On Saturday, Feb. 18, the workshop is scheduled 10am to 3pm. Lunch is included. Laurel’s Saturday presentation will highlight the theology of stewardship and best practices for an annual giving campaign.
Attendance on Friday night is at no charge. Registration for Saturday will be $15 per person ($60 for a team of five from one congregation), and will include lunch and materials. If you need additional information, contact Demi Prentiss at the diocesan office.
