The Rev. Scot McComas was installed as the third rector of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church in Keller on Saturday, May 30, 2015, by the Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr.
Among the symbols of ministry presented to him was a stole that the children and youth of the parish had made. McComas was surprised and moved by the gift. He donned the stole immediately after Bishop High blessed it. McComas’ mother, Mary, and his brother, Andy, helped celebrate the occasion.
McComas has spent ten years in ordained ministry, with experience in parishes and schools in Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, and most recently, two parishes and the Parish Episcopal School in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, Harvard Divinity School, and General Theological Seminary. He attended the College of Preachers.
