Bishop Mayer issues statement in wake of Pittsburgh synagogue murders

Bishop Scott Mayer has issued the following statement in the wake of the shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh on Saturday, October 27, 2018, that killed at least 11 congregants and left four police officers and two others wounded. A man armed with an AR-15-style assault rifle and at least three handguns opened fire while shouting anti-Semitic slurs.  The shooter was wounded and was taken into police custody. St. Christopher, Fort Worth, will have a service of contemplative prayer enriched by the music of Taize at 6 pm Sunday, December 9, 2018. Trinity Episcopal Church is pleased to present an outdoor mural by Avery Kelly.  The mural, located in the church garden, is open to the community and may be accessed through the gate on the southeast side of the building, off Stadium Drive. Clive Driskill-Smith, the new organist and choirmaster for All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Fort Worth, will present an organ recital at 7:30 pm Friday, October 19, at the church. There is no admission charge, and a reception for all will follow the recital. Driskill-Smith will play Fantasia in G major by J.S.
