The Rev. Scot McComas, rector of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Keller, has accepted a call to be rector of The Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Scottsdale, Arizona. He will begin there in mid-August. An Education for Ministry (EfM) Mentor Training has been scheduled for September 13-15, 2019, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Stephenville, TX. In 1975 the Rev. Donna D. Michels, 96, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019, ending an extraordinary life of significant contributions to her family, her various communities, her church, and this diocese. Resurrection Decatur launches adult education series
The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Decatur, is embarking on the congregation’s first adult education series – a program called Revive. It is a curriculum from Forward Movement to “equip lay leaders to be spiritual leaders.” Over the next year there will be three sessions, each lasting six weeks, concluding with a retreat.
