Trinity, Fort Worth, calls the Rev. Dr. Robert F. Pace as new rector

Trinity, Fort  Worth, has called the Rev. Dr. Robert F. Pace as their new rector. His first day at Trinity is Monday, December 16, 2019. His first Sunday is December 22. He is currently rector at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Amarillo in the Diocese of Northwest Texas. Pace is married to the Rev. Dr. Jill Walters, who also is an Episcopal priest. Good Shepherd, Granbury, presents Hymn Fest

All are invited to the Sixth Annual Hymn Fest, presented by the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd at their new location, 4530 Acton Highway, Granbury, at 3 pm on Sunday,  November 17. The Hymn Fest, a sing-along, will be conducted by Dr. Iwoa Asakura and will feature solos by Dr. Heather Hawk. A reception will follow.

Resolutions passed by the 2019 Diocesan Convention

Delegates to the 2019 Diocesan Convention passed several resolutions. After hearing an address from Bishop Eugene Sutton of Maryland about racial reconciliation and reparations, delegates passed the following resolution: Creation of a Diocesan Commission on Racial Justice and Reparations Resolved, that this 37th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, in response to Bishop Eugene Sutton’s address, heed his call to action by creating a Diocesan Commission on Racial Justice and Reparation to explore the history of racial injustice…

Endowment honors the Rev. William Taylor

Brite Divinity School has announced the establishment of the William Taylor Latino/a Ministries Endowment. The endowment was made possible through a generous gift from Dr.  Timothy and Mrs. Sylvia Metz Stevens. Dr. Stevens serves on the Brite Divinity School Board of Trustees.  The Stevens have been active members of St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Fort Worth since 1999. All Saints’ golf tournament rescheduled to November 5.

All Saints’, Fort Worth, has rescheduled its World Mission Golf Classic to Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Waterchase Gold Club. Proceeds will benefit All Saints’ local and world missions.  Lunch is at 11 am, the Shotgun Start is at 12:30 pm. People can still register to play at  www.allsaintsgolfclassic.com .

Vendor Registration

Vendor registration opened September 1. Rates are $40 per table for one day, $60 per table for two days. This includes dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday for one person. Online registration will close at midnight on Wednesday, November 6.

Diocesan Convention is November 8 and 9 at the Decatur Civic Center. If you haven’t registered yet, whether as a delegate, guest, or vendor, please do so. Registration is $65 for one day, $90 for two days. Registration includes afternoon snacks and dinner with wine on Friday; continential breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack on Saturday. Our Dallas neighbors need help in wake of tornado

This week’s tornado destroyed three campuses in the Dallas Independent School District: Thomas Jefferson High School, Cary Middle School, and Walnut Hill Elementary Now DISD officials say they’ve been overwhelmed by those seeking to help and have set up a tornado relief fund through the Dallas Education Foundation, according to the Dallas Morning News.
