All Invited to Solemn Evensong at All Saints’, Fort Worth

All are invited to the beautiful Anglican tradition of Solemn Evensong at 6 pm on Sunday, March 22, 2020. “Solemn” simply means that incense will be part of the service. Ashes to Go and traditional services for Ash Wednesday 2020

Ash Wednesday is February 26. It is the beginning of the liturgical season of Lent, a time of reflection and prayer lasting 40 days. It culminates in Holy Week and Easter, which this year is April 12. Episcopalians, Roman Catholics, Lutheran, Methodists, Presbyterians and some Baptists observe Ash Wednesday. A recital featuring Joshua Stafford, First Prize winner at the Longwood Gardens International Organ Competition, will be at 7:30 pm Friday, February 21, 2020, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Fort Worth. Bishop Scott Mayer visited St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth, on Sunday, February 16, 2020. He preached and celebrated and confirmed Fay Brewer and Allen Junek and received Tony Kroll into The Episcopal Church. Richard Brewer and David Carpenter reaffirmed their baptismal vows. Deacon Henry Penner died December 20; service set for January 11

The Rev. Henry Andrews Penner, 73, a deacon of our diocese, died on Friday, December 20, 2019, of complications from a rare disease. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Rhonda Penner; their daughter, Elizabeth Penner; his step-son, Jeff Stallings, his wife and 2 grandchildren; his step-daughter Stephanie Nicholson, her husband, their 2 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters.
