The public is invited to an Organ Recital to be played by Frederick Grimes, organist and choirmaster at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, on Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
Prior to joining All Saints’ in 1994, Mr. Grimes lived for 25 years in New York City, where he presided over an internationally famous music program. He has played recitals throughout the U.S. and in Europe.
The February 8th program will include the two most famous organ pieces in the repertoire, Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor and Charles-Marie Widor’s Toccata from the Fifth Organ Symphony. Other composers on the program will be Francois Couperin, Cesar Franck, Maurice Ravel, John Rutter and Bruce Simonds.
Admission to the recital is free and a reception for everyone will follow the program.
