Sermon and remarks from George Komechak memorial service

The memorial service for diocesan leader George Komechak was a full house at Trinity Episcopal Church, Fort Worth, with people attending from every congregation in the diocese. Wichita Falls congregation offers overnight accommodation to bikers

The Episcopal Church of Wichita Falls will be offering their building, a secure, air-conditioned facility with 2 restrooms for overnight guests who are attending the Hotter ‘N Hell Hundred 34th Runnin’ Bike Race August 27-30, 2015. The building will be open on Friday, August 28, at 5:00 pm and the outside doors will be locked at 11:00 pm that night. Diocesan leader George Komechak, 78, retired engineer, and former manager of Special Projects at Lockheed Martin, died at his home in west Fort Worth on Saturday, August 8, 2015. Diocesan lay leader George Komechak, 79, died at his home in west Fort Worth on Saturday, August 8, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Gilbert Komechak, and a son, Gil Komechak; a daughter, Kim Komechak; two grandsons and a great-grandson. Explore the Holy Land – Trinity invites pilgrims from across the diocese

Trinity Episcopal Church is organizing a group to attend the “Palestine of Jesus” pilgrimage course at St. George’s College Jerusalem this spring from February 23 to March 3, 2016. The trip is open to people from all congregations in the diocese. The 10-day course is $2,330 (includes course and housing fees). The Rt. Rev. Michael B. Curry was elected presiding bishop of The Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the 78th General Convention in Salt Lake City. Bishops Rayford B.
