Memorial service for Maggie Withroder October 21, 2015

Margaret (Maggie) Withroder died on Saturday, October 17, in Fort Worth. The memorial service will be at 11 am Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church, Fort Worth. Pre-school and kindergarten students bring stuffed animals for blessing

Several congregations celebrated the Feast of St. Francis by blessing animals of all kinds in the last couple of weeks. Pre-school and kindergarten students at St. Martin’s Episcopal School in Keller also brought their stuffed animals for a blessing. The students brought their animals to chapel, and the Rev. Bishop Scott Mayer visited St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Stephenville, on Sunday, October 4, 2015, The congregation is still celebrating the return of their red front doors, recently repaired and repainted after an attack by a vandal. Third module of Safeguarding course offered at Convention

Safeguarding God’s People – Preventing Sexual Harassment is the third module in the Safeguarding series. Once again our nation is mourning victims of a mass shooting. Once again, the shooting was at a school, this time a community college in Oregon. According to news reports, this is the 45th time this year and the 142nd time since the December 14, 2012 Sandy Hook massacre that killed twenty 5 and 6-year-olds, that a gunman has opened fire in a school.
