EfM mentor training scheduled for September
An Education for Ministry (EfM) Mentor Training has been scheduled for September 13-15, 2019, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Stephenville, TX. In 1975 the Rev. Charles Winters of the University of the South, Sewanee, published the first version of the curriculum we know now as Education for Ministry (EfM). Andrew Wright to assist Bishop Carlye Hughes in Newark
The Rev. Dr. Andrew R. Wright, currently interim rector of Trinity Episcopal, Fort Worth, has accepted a new call. He has agreed to serve as Canon to the Ordinary to the Rt. Rev. Carlye Hughes, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. Hughes is the former rector of Trinity. She was elected bishop in Newark on May 18, 2018. Donna D. Michels, 96, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019, ending an extraordinary life of significant contributions to her family, her various communities, her church, and this diocese. Resurrection Decatur launches adult education series
The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Decatur, is embarking on the congregation’s first adult education series – a program called Revive. It is a curriculum from Forward Movement to “equip lay leaders to be spiritual leaders.” Over the next year there will be three sessions, each lasting six weeks, concluding with a retreat.
