Mollee Westfall, a member of All Saints’, Fort Worth, has been elected to the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth. She was elected to replace Jeff Boleware of St.Stephen’s, Hurst, who resigned at the May 5 meeting. Boleware is starting a new job in Austin. He was elected at the 2013 Diocesan Convention in Wichita Falls.
Westfall was elected by the remaining members of the Standing Committee according to Article 10 of the diocesan Constitution, which states, “vacancies occurring prior to the expiration of the term of any member of this Committee shall be filled by the vote of a majority of the remaining members of The Standing Committee. The person so elected shall fill out the unexpired term, constituting a first term of office if said unexpired term is for two or more years.”
Westfall has served on the vestry and as senior warden at All Saints’. She has been a diocesan delegate for three years and served on the Nominating Committee for the diocese. She also served as a trustee of All Saint’s Episcopal School for several years and chaired the committee that revised the bylaws of the school from 2009-2012. She led the All Saints’ mission trip to Amazing Grace Orphanage in Awasi, Kenya, in 2009 and 2011. Westfall has served on the Grants Committee, the Youth Commission, the Finance Committee and the Stewardship Committee at All Saints’. She is a district judge presiding in the 371st District Court. Her husband Greg is entering his fifth year on the vestry at All Saints’ and their children, Bennett and Kate, serve as acolytes and in the children’s choir.
“We will miss Jeff as he has been a great addition to the group, but we wish him well in his new endeavor,” said Elinor Normand, president of the Standing Committee. “We look forward to working with Mollee.”
