Mark your calendar and plan to attend the March 2 diocesan leadership workshop, 9:30am to 3:30pm at St. Luke’s-in-the-Meadow (4301 Meadowbrook Dr., Fort Worth). The Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr., bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, will offer the opening and closing plenary addresses, and will also lead two workshops: a session specifically for senior wardens, and a session on stewardship as a year-long, congregation-wide practice.
Other workshops will include sessions on money management for congregations, communications, composing by-laws, taking advantage of the diocese’s online data base, and licensed lay ministries. Hand-outs and take-home materials aplenty will be provided. Those in congregational or diocesan leadership – and those who might want to be – are urged to attend.
In addition to the workshops, participants are invited to use the lunch hour to connect with other attendees around questions of interest – InReach, meeting guidelines, Cursillo, background checks, and the nuts and bolts of an effective stewardship campaign. Those attending are invited to add other topics.
Cost for the day is $10 per person, and includes lunch. Participants may register online or by contacting the diocesan office (817-534-1900).
