Ken Cowan, considered one of the most brilliant organists playing today, will present a free organ recital at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 5001 Crestline Road, Fort Worth, at 7:30pm on Friday, April 24, 2015.
In 2012 Cowan came from Westminister Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, NJ, where he was Professor of Organ, to the organ department at Rice University, where today he is associate professor and head of the organ program. He continues his international concert career from Houston.
At All Saints’, Cowan will present a program that includes works by Charles-Marie Widor, Jean Roger-Ducasse, Johann Sebastian Bach, Edward Elgar, Louis Vierne and Franz Liszt. The program will be followed by a reception for all.
