Join Bishop Mayer and other members of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth for the annual MLK Day of Service organized by Tarrant Churches Together on Monday, January 15.
Indicate your interest here:
The day begins at 9:00 am with an ecumenical worship service at Baker Chapel AME Church, located at 1050 E. Humbolt Street. The Rev. Carlye Hughes, rector at Trinity Episcopal Church, will be the preacher at the service this year.
Following the service, groups will disperse to a variety of work sites around the city. The diocese has reserved spots for two different projects:
- serving meals at Beautiful Feet Ministries
- working in the Como Community Garden, a project of Opening Doors for Women in Need
Sign up for either of these two projects on our form above. Other projects are also available; to sign up for one of those, use the form on Tarrant Churches Together’s website.
After completing work projects, we’ll come back together for lunch and meet more of our neighbors.
