The Godly Play Foundation says of Godly Play, “Godly Play teaches children the art of using Christian language – parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action – helping them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives.”
Godly Play Core Training will be July 11-13, 2013 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 5001 Crestline Road, Fort Worth, TX, 76107. Trainers from the Godly Play Foundation are Anne Spradley and Ryan Campbell.

Thursday, July 11, 2 to 9 pm
Friday, July 12, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm
Saturday, July 13, 9 am to 2 pm
Registration is $295 until June 25. After that, registration is $360. Checks should be made payable to Godly Play Foundation with memo “FTWTX 07-13” and mailed to Godly Play Foundation, P.O. Box 2881, Portland, OR, 97208. Please make sure the name of the participant appears on the check somewhere. If mailing the registration within two weeks of the training date, please email Regan Shutz at training@godlyplayfoundation.org to let them know of your plans to participate.
Registration includes dinner Thursday night, and lunch on Friday and Saturday. Participants are required to be present for the entire training. Refunds, discounts and pro-rates are not given for partial attendance. If someone is unable to attend training, that person’s paid tuition may be used for future training or for another person to attend.
Prior experience with Godly Play is helpful but not necessary. Participants are expected to read Teaching Godly Play: How to Mentor the Spiritual Development of Children by Jerome W. Berryman before attending the training. A Godly Play Foundation “Godly Play Certificate” will be awarded upon completion of the training.
