By the end of July, the members of the diocese’s finance committee will be ready to present a proposed budget – to deaneries during the month of August, and to the executive council at its Sept. 28 meeting at All Saints, Fort Worth.
During June, senior wardens, treasurers, rectors/priests-in-charge, and budget stakeholders received emails detailing congregation assessments, the preliminary 2014 budget (approved at the 2012 diocesan convention), and the process for requesting budget funds. Those leaders were asked to share the information with convention delegates and alternates, members of bishop’s committees and vestries, and others throughout the diocese.
The diocesan finance committee will be collecting input until a proposed budget is presented to the executive council. Requests to budget new funds or to substantially change the existing budget can be submitted to the finance committee or the diocesan treasurer.
