St. Elisabeth’s Episcopal Church, 5910 Black Oak Lane, Fort Worth, 76114, celebrated its newly refurbished building, its new priest in charge and its newly re-energized ministry with a Fiesta on Sunday, August 26. A happy crowd of parishioners, visitors and well-wishers worshiped with the Rt. Rev. Wallis Ohl, and then partied to the mariachi music of Sol Azteca. Mexican food and delicious desserts were followed by a giant water slide, kite making, and other activities. St. Elisabeth’s also is selling metal cutouts created by a parishioner as a fundraiser and sales were brisk. The much needed rain held off almost long enough for all the activities, which meant a few people got very wet. But everyone was too happy to complain about the rain.
