Three Diocese of Fort Worth congregations – St. Alban Arlington, St. Elisabeth Fort Worth, and St. Luke’s in the Meadow Fort Worth – have completed the application process to participate in Recasting Church Assets, a process of self-study facilitated by the Episcopal Church Building Fund (ECBF). Congregations participating in the program will begin meeting together late in the summer.
Up to five additional congregations can join the year-long process, which is intended to help congregations develop financial self-sustainability through the creative use of buildings and property; create relevancy by developing relationships in the outside community; and inspire new ways to be a thriving church.
Using a combination of on-site visits and online coaching, the ECBF facilitators will team with congregation members in creative problem solving to increase resources, develop connections in the community, and engage the congregation in shaping its own future and invigorate its corporate life.
If you think your congregation might want to join the Recasting process, contact diocesan ECBF coordinator John Promise (contact information removed) or ministry developer Demi Prentiss (contact information removed), or call the diocesan office 817-534-1900.
