Earth Day is Wednesday, April 22, 2020. This is the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day.
One could say we are celebrating Earth Day already, as we love our neighbors by sheltering in place, trying to flatten the curve of a virus that has impacted the entire planet.
But there are other, more fun ways to mark the day.
The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is inviting everyone to “tune in from 10 AM – 2 PM on April 22, 2020 for our Earth Day Telethon LIVE on Facebook! Our scientists and educators will be broadcasting from their home studios to bring you hands-on experiments, live demonstrations, and interactive lessons including:
- Biology in a Bottle
- How to Build a Solar Oven
- The History of the Apollo Program and Earth Day
- How Power Shapes the Planet
- And much more!”
Check out Facebook.com/FWMSH for the latest updates. And while you are there, check out their videos. You can learn out to “Turn a box into anything,” how to build a catapult, look inside a seed, and learn about bats.
You can learn everything you want to know about Earth Day at the official Earth Day site, and you can find other digital events to enjoy.
