St. Elisabeth’s and Christ the King congregations in Fort Worth are inviting all soccer fans to join in a big-screen live-streaming watch party for the World Cup finals, Sunday, July 13 starting at 1pm. The excitement will ramp up with the kickoff at 2pm, and food, drink, and games will be available throughout the party.
The congregation hopes its neighbors from far and near, and especially soccer lovers, will join in the celebration. Since the neighborhood lacks a youth soccer league for elementary school children, the church has been working with nearby residents and civic organizations to better utilize the fields surrounding the church. The church is willing to offer the use of their land, and is conducting a survey to assess the level of interest in the community. For more information and to respond, visit their webpage.
St. Elisabeth’s and Christ the King Episcopal Church is located at 5910 Black Oak Lane, River Oaks, TX 76114, near Carswell Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, TX. All are welcome – no exceptions.
