An invitation to celebrate the continuing, 60-year ministry of the Rev. Courtland Moore

The Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr., Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, invites us to celebrate the ongoing ministry of the Rev. Courtland Moore:

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Our friend and colleague in ministry Courtland Moore is about to mark a truly momentous day. On Dec. 21, 2013, Court will have served his Lord as an ordained Episcopal priest for 60 years! As you all know, he has played a major role in many of the key developments in our diocese.

Fred Barber, now serving as interim rector at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Dallas, has invited Court to celebrate and preach at Transfiguration’s 5:30pm service on December 21, the Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle. Court would welcome clergy and laity from the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth to be part of the congregation on that day, joining him in this observance of this special anniversary. It will be a said service without music, an appropriately low-key Advent liturgy.

Church of the Transfiguration is located at the intersection of North Hillcrest Road and West Spring Valley Road, just a few blocks north of the LBJ Freeway (I-635) and east of the North Dallas Tollway, in Far North Dallas.

I would urge all of you who can be present to come be part of this special observance of this milestone in Court’s long and fruitful ministry among us. I know Court will appreciate your prayers and your presence.

Faithfully in Christ,

The Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr.
Bishop
