All invited: St. Martin’s 2014 Vacation Bible School

St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, Keller, is inviting all the churches in the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth to send fun-loving volunteers to help with Vacation Bible School (VBS). “Weird Animals: Where God’s Love is One-of-a-Kind” has inspired messages about the unconditional love of Jesus Christ, taking on bullying, autism and much more.

“We are looking to join with our brothers and sisters across the diocese for some serious outreach to the local community,” said Corrie Cabes, executive director of VBS. ‘We’d like to extend the invitation to Episcopalians in the Fort Worth Diocese who love children and want to help spread God’s message of love.”

From 9 am to noon on June 16-20, St. Martin-in-the-Fields will host 100 children (4 years-5th Grade) to a faith-packed good time as children experience a week of Vacation Bible School.

St. Martin’s is looking for:

  • Creative, fun-loving, nurturing adults who are 18-years and older who have current Safeguarding training and current background checks through the Fort Worth diocese
  • Teens who have current Safeguarding training who want to fearlessly lead younger children through VBS stations
  • Folks to take on small jobs to prepare for VBS and big daily jobs as well. They are looking for painters, decorators, dreamers, and more.

People with children who want to attend VBS should visit the St. Martin  website for information at bit.ly/stm2014vbs. .
