I want to invite all of our congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth to take up a free will offering this Sunday, May 19, and next Sunday, May 26, to help the people affected by the tornados that touched down Wednesday night in Hood and Johnson Counties. Your diocesan staff and bishop are working with our congregation in Granbury, Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, to help determine where best to distribute the funds we collect. They know best where to direct our help. Please make your checks payable to the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, with “tornado relief” in the memo line. You can mail them to the diocesan offices, 4301 Meadowbrook Drive, Fort Worth, TX, 76103.
Let us be the hands and feet of Christ, reaching out to help our sisters and brothers affected by these devastating storms. Please join me as we hold up in prayer those who have suffered bodily injury, loss of home and especially those who have died. And please continue to pray for all the public servants who are there to serve.
Blessings,
+Rayford
