I pray for a world in which all are loved and respected. I pray for each of us to have dignity and joy. I am thankful to serve in this diocese where we proclaim that God’s love has no exceptions. But I also realize that violations of dignity and worse have come into sharp focus in churches and our society. We cannot pretend that they do not exist. And we must be prepared for any abuse or allegations of abuse within our communities of faith. Our Canons provide a process for dealing with such allegations, and if elected to the Disciplinary Board, I pray that I would serve in ways that justly respect and help restore the dignity of all of God’s people.
