The Rev. James Frederick Barber, D. Min. is a graduate of Barton College (1966) and Vanderbilt Divinity School (1969, 1971). He was ordained in 1975 in the Diocese of Virginia, where he served until 1980; he served next in the Diocese of Western New York from 1980-1999, during which time he chaired the Committee for Bishop Election and served as Chair of the Board of Trustees. Fred and his wife, Judy, celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary this past August.
