Christopher was born and spent his early years in Morgan City, Louisiana but considers Houston home. He secured undergraduate (BBA, ’88) and graduate (MBA, ’04) degrees in business administration from the University of Houston. Christopher’s career has been spent in the service of the church, as a church business administrator. He holds the designation Certified Church Administrator (CCA) through his professional organization, the National Association of Church Business Administration. Christopher has served resource-sized Episcopal, Presbyterian and UCC congregations in Houston, New York City, Dallas and Fort Worth, most recently at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, Dallas.
Christopher is a cradle-Episcopalian, having been raised at Trinity Episcopal Church in Morgan City, in the Diocese of Louisiana. He spent many years on the staff and as a member of Christ Church Cathedral, Houston. It was during his time in New York City, at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, that Christopher began the process of following the call to ordained ministry. He moved to North Texas in 2009, and completed and received the Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University in 2011.
In 2011, Christopher joined St. Luke’s in the Meadow Episcopal Church and began the discernment process with the Diocese of Fort Worth. He is looking forward to ordination to the priesthood and is passionate about ministry in areas of urban development and social justice.
