The Rt. Rev. J. Scott Mayer was elected the fourth provisional bishop of the Episcopal Church in North Texas at a Special Meeting of Convention on May 16, 2015, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Fort Worth. He succeeds the Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr., who resigned effective June 30, 2015. Janet Waggoner
The Rev. Canon Janet Cuff Waggoner was hired by the Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr., to serve as his Canon to the Ordinary in 2013. When the Rt. Rev. J. Scott Mayer was elected the fourth provisional bishop of the then Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth in 2015, he asked Waggoner to continue in this role. Katie Sherrod
Katie Sherrod is the director of communications for the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth. She has worked as a journalist in newspapers and television for more than 40 years. In addition to her work with the diocese she is an author, video producer, and a regular commentator on Inside Texas Politics, WFAA, Channel 8, Dallas. She is the editor of and a contributor to Grace & Gumption, Stories of Fort Worth Women published by the Texas Christian University Press [Fall 2007], and of the Grace & Gumption Cookbook, also published by the TCU Press [Fall 2010]. She is the author of Women of the Passion, the story of the passion of Jesus from the viewpoint of the women who followed him. She covered the Lambeth Conference of the Anglican Communion in England for the Episcopal News Service in 1998. At the Lambeth Conference in 2008, she was editor of the daily Lambeth Witness, a publication published jointed by LGBT Advocacy groups from England, Canada, and the United States for the duration of the conference. She produced and directed the award-winning documentary Voices of Witness Africa, which tells the stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Anglicans in Africa. This video was shown at the 2008 Lambeth Conference. She has served on several church wide bodies, including the Executive Council of The Episcopal Church. She has served as a deputy to General Convention 2009, 2015, and 2018. She was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA. for her advocacy work for women in the church and in society. She was inducted into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame in 1987 for outstanding contributions in the field of communications, named one of Fort Worth’s Outstanding Women in 1988 and Texas Woman of the Year in 1989.

Adriana Cline is the assistant treasurer in the diocesan office. She began in March 2013. Ms. Cline was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. She attended the National University of Colombia, earning a degree in computer science. She worked in the Information Technology field for some years, during which she met her husband, Marc Cline.
