Take advantage of some opportunities to meet and learn from people of different faiths and cultural traditions.
One excellent opportunity that has been going on in the Fort Worth area for decades is the Interfaith Dialogue, sponsored by the Multicultural Alliance. This is a six-week small group discussion series, offering time to get to know the other participants better and discover where our stories intersect and diverge.
Hear from participants of this fall’s dialogue group at an Interfaith Friday night (Shabbat) service on Friday, February 2 at the Beth-El Congregation. Jackie Bzostek, a member of the Beth-El Congregation, Interfaith Dialogue participant and co-facilitator of many Interfaith Dialogues is on the planning committee for this meaningful service. The Rev. Tracie Middleton also participated in this fall’s Interfaith Dialogue and is happy to answer questions.
Speakers:
Moazam Syed – Interfaith Dialogue participant
Jesse Villagomez – Interfaith Dialogue Participant & current co-facilitator
Dr. Cherly Kimberling – President of the Multicultural Alliance
Refreshments will be offered after the service.
Please invite family, friends, colleagues and your congregation (if applicable) to attend.
The Multicultural Alliance also coordinates one-time dinner discussion groups, called ‘Table Talks,’ a retreat for seminarians, a youth camp, and various workshops or presentations. Email the multicultural alliance and indicate your interest in any of these formats.
